Introduction

Welcome to my blog. This blog will be about cryptozoology and the undiscoverd, misidentified or hidden creatures that live in our world. I don't pretend to be a good writer but I just write about what I research. Feel free to browse my page and leave a comment or suggestion if you wish.

The Chupacabra

Above: Chupacabra or just a misidentified creature?

The Chupacabra
The chupacabra is a vampiric creature that is said to drink the blood of farm and domestic animals, killing them. It likes blood but whether blood is solely its only food source is to be debated.

The word Chupacabra means "Goat-Sucker."
There have been sightings of the chupacabra in Puerto Rico, Central and South America. There have also been reported sighting in the United States and Europe.

There have been two different descriptions of the creature. One description is that of a dog like creature with no fur, although some have described this as looking like mange. The front legs seem to be shorter than the back ones and the face appears to be longer than that of a domestic dog.
The second description describes it as looking like a cross between one of the aliens known as 'Greys' but slightly smaller in size and a porcupine. it is believed to have red glowing eyes, sharp fangs in order to pierce the victim's skin and a snake like tongue. It is said to be between 4 and 5 feet tall, supposedly hops like a kangaroo. Some reports even say it may be able to fly? It is said to squeal or grunt like a wild pig or boar.
It also emits a terrible scream.

Animals attacked by the chupacabra will have puncture marks on their bodies, usually on the neck or legs. While the creature seems to prefer animals, attacks on humans have been reported. Some Chupacabra attacks have been linked to UFO sightings, especially since the 1970's, as well as to waves of mysterious unexplained animal mutilations and deaths reported in the United States and elsewhere.
